Appearing Offline - Xbox

There are multiple reasons what causes disconnections or difficulties with connecting to the game and appearing offline. In order to eliminate the most common causes of such situations, please follow the steps below:

  1. Check Xbox Live Status: Ensure that your Xbox Live services are working properly. Sometimes, if there are issues with Xbox Live, it can affect your ability to connect online. You can check the status here: https://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-live-status
  2. Reset your router according to manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Check different internet connections. In general, it's advised to use an ethernet cable, but for testing purposes, you may try the wi-fi or a mobile hotspot from your phone.

  6. Invite Friends from the Xbox Interface: If the in-game option to invite friends is not working, try using the Xbox interface to invite them to your game. You can do this by pressing the Xbox button, selecting your friend’s profile, and choosing “Invite to the game.”
  7. If you have another profile available on your console, sign in to it and test if the issue persists. Sometimes, issues can be tied to individual Xbox Live profiles.

  9. Ensure that your friends don't have a Strict NAT type. The difference in NAT types may be a reason why you can't properly connect to the Multiplayer.
  10. Please make sure you're signed in to the correct Xbox profile that has an active Xbox Game Pass Core subscription. Sometimes multiplayer features are disabled if the account isn't signed in properly or if there are issues with the subscription.
  11. If you use IPv6, try to disable it (it needs to be done on the computer). If you don't feel confident with changing that setting or you'll experience any difficulties with it you can contact your internet provider for some advice.
  12. Please ensure that Xbox Live services are fully operational. Sometimes, even if other games work fine, certain multiplayer features may rely on Xbox Live being available and functioning properly.
