Audio & sound difficulties - PC
The most recent drivers for your sound card should be installed on your PC to ensure the game works correctly. You can download those drivers from the site of the card producer. We recommend using stable drivers certified by WHQL. Using beta drivers may result in unexpected issues that we won't be able to address.
Sound Card
To check your sound card, press [WINDOWS] + X > Device Manager > Sound. Download the latest version of the drivers from an according website:

Driver Update
You can also update a Sound Output Device Driver by:
Pressing Windows Key + R and typing in the new window “devmgmt.msc”.
Pressing Enter.
Right-click on your Default Audio Device, then click “Update Driver”.
Click “Search automatically for drivers”.
Windows will automatically search for drivers and install them if needed!
Refresh the drivers
You can also force Windows to refresh the driver:
Open Device Manager > expand Sound, video, and game controllers > right-click your main device > Disable device > then Enable device again.
Please note that you will have to restart your PC during this troubleshooting step.
Clean Boot
To perform a clean boot, please follow the steps here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135 The above actions should make sure that no other software or game overlays interfere with the game.
Default Device
Right-click the sound icon > Sound Settings > make sure your primary playback device (your headset or speakers) is set as Default Device.
Port
Change the USB port - if you're using a front panel's daughterboard, try connecting it directly to the motherboard, as there may be some sort of difficulty with their communication.
Alienware Laptop
Disable Realtek Audio and go to the Alienware Sound Center and under the Gaming label, click on the dropdown menu that says Alienware and press ok to enable audio effects with Realtek Audio.

Verify the integrity of the game files (in your Steam Library, right-click on Green Hell > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files).
