Controller / Controls not working - Steam Deck

To make sure that the game has an optimal environment to operate, please follow the guides below:

Verify Integrity of Game Files

• On the Steam Deck, go to our game's page in your Library > Settings > Properties.

• Select Installed Files and then click Verify integrity of game files.This will check for any corrupted files from the update.

Try a Different Proton Version

• In the same Properties menu, go to the Compatibility tab.

• Check the box for Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool.

• From the drop-down menu, try selecting a different version, such as Proton Experimental or newest version Proton. This can often resolve unexpected behavior with new updates.

Steam Input

• In the same Properties menu, enter Controller section

• From "OVERRIDE FOR GREEN HELL" drop-down menu pick "Disable Steam Input".

Disconnect Bluetooth Devices:

• Even if you haven't connected a mouse or keyboard, sometimes a connected Bluetooth device (like a headset or another controller) can be misidentified. Please try disabling Bluetooth from the Steam Deck's Quick Access Menu to see if the issue persists.

Reset Steam Input Settings

• Open Steam Settings > Controller > Desktop Layout > Reset Layout to default
